Can I bring a pushchair in?

Yes. We allow pushchairs to be brought into the play barn at a charge of £1.50. Alternatively, we have a lovely, covered pram stable located outside where pushchairs can be left free of charge. Car seats are welcome and the car park is adjacent to the Play Barn.

Why do I have to pay for my pushchair?

We are required to minimise the number of pushchairs in the play barn at any one time due to health and safety, and capacity limitations. Cleanliness is a top priority for us here at Sprouts so by reducing the number of prams that enter we also minimise the amount of mud that comes into the play area.

Can I bring my own food into Sprouts?

No, only food purchased on site is allowed in the play barn. Rose Cottage Café can be found inside the play barn and serves a wide variety of delicious snacks and hot and cold food. We also have a wide range of products suitable for those with special dietary requirements. This policy includes birthday cakes, so please contact us if you would like to arrange a birthday cake for your visit from our bakery (14 days notice required for all cake orders).

We are a nut free site, however cannot guarantee no traces due to shared production areas. Please contact us in advance to discuss severe medical allergies (not interlerances) as we do allow for some food items to be brought in to Sprouts for these individuals in particular circumstances. 

Can I leave and re-enter the play barn throughout the day with the same ticket?

No. Your Sprouts admission ticket allows you play on the specific date and time session of your booking. As there’s a lot to explore at Sprouts, we envisage our customers wanting to spend the duration of their session inside.

If individual group members need to briefly leave during their booked time slot to visit other areas of Millets Farm, our staff will allow this under particular circumstances so please speak to them on site during your visit and they’ll be happy to help.

Is smoking permitted in or around Sprouts?

No. Sprouts is proud to be a smoke & vapour free area for the safety of the growing lungs playing in our play barn. Smoking and vaping is not be permitted within Sprouts Play Barn or its surrounding areas.

Is there a limit on play time?

We run 3x timed play sessions per day, 7 days a week - 9.15am – 11.30am, 12noon – 2.30pm and 3pm – 5.30pm.

You can book onto one of these time slots in advance here to secure your space on your chosen session. Because we want to ensure all our customers have a great time, we ask you to exit the play area promptly at the end of your booking to allow our team to fully clean and prep the area for our next session.

Can I buy a family ticket to Sprouts?

We do not currently offer family ticket prices, as we feel our pricing for individuals works out better for our customers.

How do I open a membership with Sprouts?

We do not currently offer a membership to Sprouts although we are looking to set this up soon. If you purchase tickets to Sprouts online, you will be given the option to sign up to our Sprouts Club, where updates and special offers are sent to our customers throughout the year!

Can I book onto more than one session and stay for the duration of these?

You are welcome to pre-book onto multiple timed sessions per day, however all customers will need to exit the Play Barn at the end of each timed session so our team can clean and fully prepare the play area for the next session.

How do I book a Sprouts class?

We have a termly timetable of classes and our current classes can be seen on our classes page. Places for each class are limited and can be booked via our booking website or by calling us on 01865 689 008.

Can I reserve spaces within the play barn?

No. Unfortunately we cannot take reservations for tables within the play barn however we have plenty of tables available in both the Meadow and Orchard seating areas.

Tickets purchased in advance guarantee you entry to the Play Barn for your booked session, however it does not guarantee you a table. This is because part of our capacity allows for some customers to use the coat hooks and lockers only.

Who supervises the children?

Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times. Children must be supervised by an adult over 18 years of age who is responsible for their care for the duration of your visit to Sprouts. At no time can children be left in the Play Barn unattended.

Why do we charge for adults?

Sprouts Play Barn and the soft play frame is for all the family to enjoy together, no matter what age! All of our play equipment and facilities are suitable for adults to enjoy too.

What clothing should the children wear?

It’s best to wear comfortable clothes, ideally long sleeved tops and long trousers. SOCKS must be worn by children and adults at all times in all play areas. It is advised that jewellery, watches and loose items in pockets are removed. There are lockers situated near the party rooms and are available for you to use. You will need a £1 coin to use these, which is returnable after use.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes. We have dedicated parking right outside the Play Barn, including disabled parking too. Sprouts customers are also welcome to park in any other site parking at Millets Farm. There is walkway access to Sprouts Play Barn by foot via the play area near Millets Falconry Centre.

How do I get to the Sprouts car park?

The Sprouts car park is signposted at the bottom of the main Millets Farm driveway. Go straight ahead after coming down the main drive, then turn left at the mini roundabout. You will see the Sprouts entrance straight ahead of you. Our main car park is on the right and our overflow car park is on the left.

Can I get a refund if we can’t make a booked session?

No, however if you contact us before the start of your booked session by emailing us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. we will endeavour to transfer your booking to an alternative date and time to suit you (subject to availability). We are unable to split bookings, move single tickets or offer refunds for any missed bookings.

Do you have toilets within Sprouts?

Yes, we have unisex toilets and baby changing facilities within the play barn. We also have a disabled toilet and changing room which has a large change bed located within Sprouts.

Please note, toilets inside Sprouts will be closed 5 minutes prior to the end of each play session to allow sufficient cleaning time between play sessions. The toilet located in the Sprouts foyer will remain open for use.
